This is a vintage Stratocaster® spec neck pickup that fits into a Telecaster® neck route with no modifications!   

Based on the early Fender lap steel pickups 

They are 100% hand-wound. Materials include:

42 gauge heavy Formvar enamel wire, ALNiCO 3 magnets and fiber bobbins. These, like the Black Guard™ pickups, are the closest you can get to true Vintage and deliver extraordinarily consistent sound.

Without giving away how these are created, they begin as a 60’s Stratocaster set wound with 43 gauge plain enamel wire (NOT RWRP) to provide “SRV” tonal qualities. Average output for this set is neck: 6.16K, middle: 6.4K, bridge: 6.6K. Our customers report this set will put you in the “SRV” zone.
